We created GLOWklahoma to share our lovely outdoor oasis with you, your friends, and your loved ones; even your pets!
      We have always loved pets and spending time outdoors. Therefore, when looking for a home, one of our primary concerns was to find a home with a pool that was also pet-friendly. In 2018, we purchased the home and began restoring and redecorating the home and its landscaping. Then COVID came around and people began to look for new ways to enjoy the outdoors, have fun, and spend time with their family without being surrounded by strangers. Therefore, we launched GLOWklahoma in 2021!

      We initially posted on Facebook Marketplace and in local community groups on Facebook. We received many comments and more interest than we ever imagined! One of the comments asked “Have you heard of Swimply?”. I had not heard of Swimply before, but after some quick research, realized that it was essentially AirBnB for pools and was featured on Season 11 of Shark Tank! Therefore, in 2022, we expanded onto Swimply as “The Glow Bowl” and officially started our branding!
      In 2023, we decided that pool basketball was not enough and decided to add many more sports options including Frisbee Golf, LED Cornhole, a Putting Green, and other yard sports! Therefore, we were no longer just a glowing bowl of water and decided to change “The Glow Bowl” to “Glow Plex”!
      After hosting many groups and many pets, one of the pet-owners mentioned how they had rented many yards on Sniffspot, but not through Swimply as many hosts did not allow pets in the pool. Again, a customer enlightened us to a platform we had not previously heard of. Therefore, in 2023, we launched on Sniffspot!
      Sniffspot started slow, but rapidly picked up as we became more established. Therefore, we were managing calendars on two different sites and manually blocking off Swimply when Sniffspot was booked and vice versa. We were able to manage that well for the most part. However, one night we went to dinner and received two bookings while we were out; one on Swimply and one on Sniffspot. Unfortunately, they overlapped and we had to find a way to tell one of the customers that the space was already booked despite the calendar showing it was open. As we do not always immediately see when a booking is made, and plan to expand into AirBnB soon, we realized the need to combine our multiple calendars into a calendar managed on one central platform! Therefore, we decided to create our own website to manage our bookings. Along with creating a new website, we figured it would be a good time to rebrand and have changed from “Glow Plex” to “GLOWklahoma”!
      We are constantly adding new amenities and decorations so it gets better with every visit! We are currently working to create Social Media accounts to allow guests to share their experience with others and are also working on adding AirBnB options!

      NEW FOR 2024: We have expanded to the Turo marketplace to allow you to rent cars! We have had a lot of interest from guests about transportation and lodging needs! Therefore, we now offer economy car rentals for those looking to stretch their buck! We also offer luxury and exotic rentals for those looking to get the highest experience possible! We can even bring the car to you! We are still working to add AirBnB within walking distance of the property!
